Pawelek Meat Market in Rockport: First off I do NOT take light when I speak out against local businesses but when you are arrogant and pissed off at me because you LOST my Venison Backstraps and Tenderloins when I've been patient for almost 3 months for you to find it, I have to speak out! I wonder just who's Backstrap they scammed to make up the 4 little bags of meat from my deer, BEWARE! The sausage they made for me had no flavor and I had to season it myself, they also ...don't smoke meat even though they charge a premium price. I'm adding a picture of the 4 small packages of BS they sent to appease me while acting put out in every conversation, they finally exceeded my patients in the matter! This is a small town and they don't think customers matter, well I hope they find out differently! Make the difference, In my opinion Pawelek Meat Market in Rockport, TX Sucks!

On Top of that when they saw this on FaceBook Ron threatened to sue me, disgusting business!
DLC Covert Game Cameras that Don't WORK!
Don't buy DLC Covert Game Cams!
More emails from them...look at this one...he searches the web and sends me a useless post that just wasted my time, then brags about his sutomer service and makes another smart ass comment to me!  DLC Covert is horrible!

dlc sucks

Feel free to add how rude you were in all our exchanges or is it just a one way street ?? In order to get help you have to want help. Argumentative and rude isn't the way to go about that. I had no chance as anything I told you wasn't going to be good enough for you that part was easy to identify. We have been on the phone nonstop since 8 am with other customers that are just as important to us so unfortunately some calls were missed and we were unable to return them during work hours. I hung up on you because of your attitude and the multiple swear words you said and there is no reason to have to put with that from anyone But hey its your story tell how you want.

I have forwarded all our exchanges to Kimber so she is well aware of the situation.

I have sent this to my 4000 friends in FB and their friends, when you help me I may make a rebuttal!  I'm also putting you in the "BAD" products section of my 600 hits per day webpage!  You may want to pass this email along to a person in charge or the owner...because they will find out sooner or later!

Capt. Scott McCune

I'll tell you about DLC covert Game Cams, there is no customer support, they are rude and unhelpful.  I think the product has a good selling point, however I'm told today that the "rumor is" that some cell towers don't support the SMS phone commands, which is the ONLY thing that sets their cameras apart from others!  I have spent 8 hours on the phone with 15 phone calls to AT&T, drove into the city 3 hour drive round trip, waited 4 hours at an AT&T corporate store for service and then my camera didn't work...then I had to pay for packing and shipping $25 to send it back, mind you a pic had NEVER been taken with it...the person that is in charge there is named Kimber, cool name but she has not returned 3 messages that I have left and today the guy in customer support hung up on me because I said HELL...I told him I thought I had the right to say hell after what I've been through...CLICK...well that is where the DLC company can go until they know how to take care of outfitters using their equipment!

What the heck kind of response to an outfitter is that?  RUDE, nothing but RUDE and horrible customer service...you didn't even try to blow smoke up my ass, you just shoved it in!  I'm an outfitter with a HUGE webpage foot print and presence, you might want to think about the measly $23.14 in shipping fee refund out of professional courtesy and to help with the hours of driving, phone calls and waiting I have down trying to get this platform tested for my operation!  I'm calling to talk to the person in charge of the company tomorrow!

Scott

Port "A" Outfitters

The most unprofessional and unorganized store (yes, Store...not just tackle store) I have ever visited.  I have witnessed the owner operators (husband and wife) having arguments and using fowl language at each other.  They lost one of my 80W Penn Internationals and after two weeks of visits to the shop to retrieve it before a major tournament (POCO) they had the nerve to get nasty with me on the last visit the day before leaving for Port O' Connor!  I ended up driving to Corpus to find their reel repair man that was repairing the reels for them as a part time job from his home (he had mistakenly taken my reel).  That's not all - On a recent walk past the shop heading to a tournament banquet...I was accosted, cussed and threatened by the owners over an account bill that belonged to a friend of mine, one which he has never received receipts for and one of their friends (who was his short time boat deckhand) charged to his account.  Tom was lucky I was in a good mood after winning the White Marlin Division at the previously mentioned tournament and I was heading to pick up my check!

Roy's Bait and Tackle is defiantly worth the short Corpus Christi drive!

HOOK N BULL

Boat Yard

This place is a Very Dirty Yard, they have a very seedy element working there.  I used them for cheap repairs on things that wouldn't show, non-detail oriented items because I could get a good price.  The last and final time I went there they charged me over $1,000.00 more than the best place in town would have (Double the Price), just because they thought I had the money and was in a jam for the repair!  Go to Northshore Boat Yard for your work they will match these guys prices and the work is top notch!  You can also try the new boat works place at Cove harbor, they do quality work!

These people have held my lower unit hostage since November

and they DO NOT honor their warranty!  I'm going on my 3rd

from them and they still have not got it right!

Horrible chart plotting, especially from the middle Texas coast.  Their repair shop will lie about repair needs and they would rather you purchase another unit!

?

No question for me anymore they have stepped up and satisfied this customer, my next engine will be MERCURY!

MERCURY has come around big time!  I have 3 MERCURY engines (2-225hp EFI  (800 hours) and 1-200hp Optimax (740 hours), I acquired all of these engines second hand and after putting a few hundred hours I started having a lot of problems and the shop costs plus missed trips were mounting beyond control!  Last year I had numerous lower unit problems and a top level Customer Service person, while expressing his condolences, said they wouldn't help in anyway even though I believed to have a valid defect issue.  I started my Products page based on the bad experiences that I had with Mercury last year, I really lost faith in MERCURY!  In August of this year (2005) my 225hp had corrosion problems which since the engine was 4 years out of warranty, they declined to assist; then came the piston problem.  Now here is where customer service really turned around, I sent pictures of my problem to MERCURY and after visiting with several people I found someone who really wanted to make customers happy.  I was asked what I wanted, I was surprised because I really didn't want anything, my only initiative was to be an advocate for customers and the support of engines that have expired their warranties, in other words to show MERCURY there was a need to help people in the fishing industry keep their products running beyond warranty.  Well MERCURY stepped up to the plate and put me back in business with a new powerhead for the Bay boat and they will discuss the powerhead problem on my offshore boat as well!  These engines are 4 years out of warranty, yet they are still assisting me, that is customer service!  I do own three engines and have a lot of public exposure, however if they are half as good with the recreational customer they earn the #1 On the Water label!

Sincerely,

Capt. Scott McCune
